Stress and mental health problems have never been more important than now, and the challenges they present never more acute than in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic..
These new challenges are of major concern for organisations and individuals, in the light of growing evidence of their effects during the pandemic. The most common way adults experiencing some form of depression felt their wellbeing had been affected was through stress or anxiety, with 84.9% stating this. (Coronavirus and depression in adults, Great Britain. Office for National Statistics, June 2020)
ISMA’s focus is to ensure that these issues continue to receive maximum attention, with the active promotion of wellbeing in the workplace. Carole Spiers, Chair, said, ‘Particularly in challenging times, ISMA’s aim is to keep stress, mental health and wellbeing high on the international agenda’.
