With a background in clinical psychology, Rachel has worked with NHS mental health services as a clinician, director, and consultant/trainer for 45 years. She established the first UK evidence-based supported employment programme to help people with serious mental health challenges to gain and sustain employment. In 2008/9 she was invited to lead an independent review to Government about improving employment support for people with a mental health condition, and in 2010 she was awarded an OBE for services to mental health and voted ‘Mind Champion of the Year’.
