Andy Baines-Vosper is Head of Written Word and a listening volunteer at Samaritans. He is also the founder of Share the Weight - a suicide prevention campaign where I am on a mission to ask a million people for help to Share the Weight on my shoulders. The weight I carry is a 24.7kg bag of worries that symbolises the invisible burdens we all carry and weighs 24/7kg to remind people that Samaritans are there 24/7. After facing my own struggles including addiction, infertility, and depression, I now use this journey to show that the weight of life is too heavy to carry alone and that Together, we are stronger, and that Together, we Share the Weight.
