Monday 2nd - Friday 6th November 2020
Your big event. Your big opportunity.
International Stress Awareness Week
'Health, Happiness & Wellbeing at the Heart of Business'
"Our 2nd International Stress Awareness Week was a huge success and I'm looking forward to INSAW 2020", says Carole Spiers, ISMAUK Chair
I’m delighted to announce the dates for INSAW 2020, following on from a watershed year in 2019 in which we increased our profile around the world both online in more traditional media such as the BBC and SKY News. ‘
In the UK, the week kicked off with a Stress Fair, a truly creative idea that attracted a large passing trade, continued with an all-day global on-line stress summit hosted by Belgiium, ISMAUK international members and an all-day stress chat bot line operated by ISMA stress consultants, before climaxing with our annual ISMA conference. This all-day event assembled 130 delegates for a busy programme of presentations, panel discussions and workshops, involving some of the world’s premier thought-leaders in stress management. I noted with particular satisfaction that National Stress Awareness Day, always celebrated on the first Wednesday in November, stimulated the greatest activity on social media.
'So now, let's start preparing for a record-breaking week from 2nd-6th November'
The theme for this year is Health Happiness and Wellbeing at the Heart of Business, and the ISMAUK committee is busy preparing for a full week of events on this ever-important topic. Our annual conference takes place on the last day of International Stress Awareness Week on Friday 6th November in central London. You can see our programme here and we would love you to join us.
Just consider the importance of resilience in corporate life, and the overwhelming need to cultivate the power of bouncing back from workplace challenges. You’ll identify many aspects of this fascinating subject that could inspire creative workshops and presentations in NSAD Week. To keep resilience high on the national agenda, together, as part of the promotion of wellbeing in the workplace.
Ending the Stigma of Stress and Mental Health
The challenges of both stress and mental health are issues of considerable importance for many of us. So, ending the stigma associated with stress and mental health is an organisational imperative. ISMA's focus is to continue to ensure that these issues remain high on the national agenda with the active promotion of wellbeing in the workplace.
It’s never too soon to come on board. So start now. We look forward to hearing from you. And let’s make 2020 the best year yet.
