It is International Stress Awareness Day on Wednesday 7th November and the International Stress Management Association [UK] are running a live chat helpline where you can text one of our volunteers, many of whom are trained stress consultants. They will be able to share information relevant to your stress issue and sign post you to relevant support.
Please note this is not a counselling service and we will not be giving advice and as such, chat times will be limited to 10 minutes.
Live chat will be available from 9 am – 10 p.m., subject to volunteer availability.
PLEASE CLICK THE ICON ONTHE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE PAGE TO ACCESS THE LIVE CHAT.
We are not a crisis service and if you do feel at risk, we encourage you to call 999 or your local crisis team. If you feel you would like to speak to someone for emotional support, please call the Samaritans on 116.123.
This service is delivered by volunteers, who offer their time to help support others experiencing stress. Abusive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and our volunteers reserve the right to terminate a chat without prior warning if these rules are breached.
Chat conversations are confidential, and it is not necessary for you to reveal your name unless you choose to do so. We will not divulge any information to third parties unless the information is relevant under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, in which case we are obliged to disclose all information to the police.
Live Chat conversations are stored for no longer than 24 hours after which time they will be deleted.
