Online Global Stress and Wellbeing Summit
2nd – 6th November 2020

Playing a Global Role in Stress and Wellbeing

The highlight of International Stress Awareness Week 2020 will be our new online Global Stress and Wellbeing Summit, the online successor to the live event of previous years. It’s all happening online, due to the Covid-19 restrictions on public gatherings, so we’re expecting a much bigger worldwide audience!

Ending the stigma associated with stress and mental health and promoting wellbeing in the workplace are major ISMA goals. We’re focused on ensuring these issues remain high on the national agenda. We believe the Global Stress and Wellbeing Summit will play a huge role in helping us achieve these objectives.

As someone who has been studying health and wellbeing in all their forms for over 40 years, I know that how we feel at work and when we go home at night makes a huge difference to our overall happiness and motivation to do our jobs well. As the world of work and what we expect from it today is changing at such a rapid rate, the challenge is on for employers to raise their game. The welcome initiative shown by ISMA in staging this online Global Stress and Wellbeing Summit to debate many of these current issues must be applauded and will help each of us to find resilience and, fundamentally, to remain socially connected at an incredibly difficult time. Professor Sir Cary Cooper CBE

So What’s Happening?

The Global Stress and Wellbeing Summit will act as a hub for the latest thinking and guidance on stress management, mental health and employee wellbeing. There will be a prestigious line-up of speakers and experts who will debate, inform, and advise on every aspect of these vital subjects, combined with interactive contributions from our audiences.

The Summit will be opened by Lord Mark Price CVO, Founder of WorkL and Engaging Business, and Chairman, Fair Trade UK; past Deputy Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership and Managing Director of Waitrose. Lord Price said -

I am delighted to be opening the first ISMA Online Global Stress and Wellbeing Summit, particularly during these challenging times, both in the UK and around the world. As founder of WorkL and Engaging Business, I am pleased to say that we share common areas of interest with ISMA, especially through the research we are undertaking into the business, economic and societal benefits of happy and engaged employees. When employees are fully engaged, anything becomes possible. ISMA’s Global Stress and Wellbeing Summit is bringing people together to learn, acquire skills, and use tools which will empower each of us to be ourselves while increasing wellbeing and reducing stress at work.

The Summit content is still in development but key themes will include –

  1. Mental Health and Wellbeing
  2. Organisational Resilience
  3. Leadership and Workplace Culture
  4. Business Tools in the High-tech Era
  5. Tomorrow’s World and the Future of Work

These topical themes will generate insights, delivered through knowledge zones, streamed daily over the five days of the Summit. In each knowledge zone, the themes will be communicated using keynote speeches, round-table discussions, mini-workshops, interviews, learning circles, social interaction and much, much more.

There will also be an INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE with contributions from thought leaders from around the world.

There will also be an international knowledge zone, dedicated to gathering news of Summit-related events and activities from around the world.
